THROWBACK THURSDAY

I decided to take it back for today’s outfit post. I believe this photo was taken in December of 2014, several months before I launched this blog. I remember loving this outfit because it was easy and simple, but still chic. Those blue suede boots are still to this day my favorite pair of shoes that I have ever owned. Unfortunately, I ruined them at Coachella last year so they are long gone, but certainly not forgotten. The jacket and jeans were from Zara and the boots were from Topshop! 🙂

TREND ALERT: SILVER AND GOLD

Proenza

“Fashion Month” is quickly nearing its close as we head into “Festival Season”. One trend that stood out starkly on the runways is metallics. Designers and creative directors incorporated silver, gold and sequined accents into just about every show this season. I saw subtle metallics pieces such as gold loafers and silver handbags, and more obvious lustrous creations like fully sequined gowns and metallic jackets.

FOR THE FELLAS: THE CAT IN THE HAT

This week’s Fellas Friday post is all about hats. In my humble opinion, every man should own at least one hat that he looks and feels good wearing. I personally think that any man can pull off a fitted cap, but there are so many other options on the market from snapbacks and beanies to bucket hats and fedoras. Hats are a very easy way to add dimension and personality to a look, and they quite obviously serve numerous practical purposes. The only type of hat that I would warn against are newsboy caps. Your grandad and LL Cool J are really the only people who can make those look good 😉
